The fashion fad began in Japan. The circle lenses have a black ring around the edges that cover more than the iris unlike regular contacts. This gives a look of a bigger iris to create larger eyes. The black rings increase the diameter and there are many options available on the size of the diameter.
I use them for these reasons as well as when I want to. The great thing about them is that they can be prescribed. Also, they last an entire year! The price is quite affordable. There are many websites but I like PinkyParadise.com the best. It is a Korean based company, and it is very trustworthy in my opinion. They sell other beauty products as well. With a variety of colors, designs, and diameters, circle lenses take the spotlight in what it takes to look the part of your character. You may be wondering if there is a catch, but overall I would say no. While I personally feel this way, some will disagree.

Personally, circle lenses are nothing to fear. I have bad vision, so maybe it cannot get worse. Actually, my vision has gotten better this year. I do not tell my eye doctor about me buying circle lenses but he has not made a negative comment about the health of my eyes. While the doctors are concerned about the contacts not fitting, I think they fit me just fine. There is not any presence of irritation when I wear circle lenses as long as I follow the rules to keep them clean.

Overall, there are bad things and good things with circle lenses just like everything in the universe. I like to be positive so I wear them while keeping in mind the risks to make myself take proper care of them. They are great to me and an amazing addition to making your cosplay or Lolita coordinate stand out. If you have contacts already, it is an easy addition to take care of since you are hopefully in the habit of taking care of regular contacts!
